Hands on History (2016)

Approximately 150 children and adults from throughout the community had a great time learning where their families came from, their ancestors' names, what they ate, the toys they played with, and how they dressed.

We have received a lot of positive feedback -- from children who were sorry to see the day end, and from adults who enjoyed  being part of a community gathering for fun and learning.  These positive memories encourage an appreciation of each of our families' histories and the community  we share.

MJHS is committed to preserving the heritage of the Michiana Jewish community and to inspiring all of us to learn about our family histories and values.  We want you to join us and get involved in future family programs, speakers and educational events,  archives, oral histories, and other activities.
